Here we go … come back often for updates and pictures of the house we’re renovating in downtown Little Rock, Arkansas. This craftsman style home is located at 2315 S Chester, and we can’t wait to see her restored to her grand beauty. Here’s what she looks like now, but we’ll be changing this whole look in the next few weeks.

2315 Chester Old Front Exterior SE Old

I love the front porch, because I can visualize a family sitting outside enjoying the shade of the porch after supper. But, check out the side porch. Imagine entertaining friends, flowing from the front porch, through the house, and flowing right back out to the side porch.

Another real estate investor started work on this project, but it was repossessed by their bank. It’s ours now, and the neighbors have already been over to meet us. They’re looking forward to a new family moving into this home. That’s our mission … to participate in neighborhood renovations, restoring homes for families to fill with love.

The House

This craftsman house has three bedrooms and two and a half baths with 3,105 square feet covering two floors. And, it includes a two-car detached garage, a rare commodity in downtown homes! The first floor includes two living areas, a formal dining room, a huge updated kitchen, with a separate eat-in area, a half bath, and a large laundry room. The second living area could easily be an office or a playroom, whatever your family needs. A grand staircase leads to the second floor with the master suite, plus two more bedrooms with another full bath. From the second floor, there’s stairs that lead to a walk-in unfinished attic, great for storage. So much space, I can’t wait to show you pictures when the work is complete.

Our Team

Our realtor, Jerry Wood, with McKimmey Realtors, found this beautiful home for us. He loved this home as much as we do. We made an offer and closed on this property this week, with Skipper Ray, with Attorney’s Title Group.

DAY 1: Changing the Locks and Foundation Repairs

First person on property was our locksmith to change the locks. Our home inspector, Richard Mobley, with ProTeam Inspectors, uncovered foundation problems, so Foundation Repair of Arkansas workers are fixing that first. Hopefully, I’ll have some before and after pictures to show you of that.

If you are ready to buy a house in this area, reach out to us. We’d love to show you our plans to see if this could be your home. The work will be done by mid-October, so this house will be ready for a new family to move in right before Halloween.

If you need to sell your house fast, we’d love to hear from you as well. We love to make win-win offers that solves your real estate problem. Come back often to see more about this beautiful home. Until then, leave us a comment, we love to hear your thoughts!
