Before we started investing in real estate, I’d never heard of staging a home for sale. Of course, I’d attended spring and holiday home tours, where the homes were beautifully staged, but those events were usually selling tickets to raise funds for a charity. One of the things we learned from the experts was that staging our homes always helped them sell faster.

When we finished our first flip home in Central Arkansas, we interviewed several folks who offered staging in our area. All had beautiful portfolios, and each offered slightly different services. We ended up using Fran Laneri and Sandra Combs with Savvy Stagers. Fran is also a real estate agent, and Sandra and her husband own a local furniture and appliance store, AAA Home Center. Their rates are excellent, and they’re happy to stage an empty home with their furniture and décor or stage an occupied home with the owner’s furniture and décor – maybe adding a few items to make it perfect.

Their goal is simply to show off the home’s beauty to potential buyers. Frequently, this staging isn’t the way we decorate to live in day-in and day-out, but homes they stage are beautiful. And a beautifully staged home sells faster than otherwise.

Here’s a couple of projects they staged for us, just so you can see some of their work.

2315 S Chester, Little Rock, AR

This is a beautifully restored home in the Governors Mansion Historic District in downtown Little Rock, Arkansas. Savvy Stagers staged the first floor, which included two living areas, dining room, and eat-in kitchen, plus outdoor furniture on the front and side porches. The beauty of this home became apparent with this amazing staging.

105 Nantucket Loop, Maumelle, AR

This coastal style house with upper and lower wrap around porches is lovely on it’s own. In this house, Savvy Stagers combined our furniture and décor with theirs, and a professional photographer captured these lovely rooms in the pictures on the listing. Folks were calling to see the house, almost as quickly as it was listed. And, the very first showing resulted in an offer.

If you’d like to sell your house fast, and your property is in central Arkansas, I’d suggest you get your home staged by Savvy Stagers. If your property is elsewhere, ask your local realtors for the names of home stagers in that area. You won’t regret staging your home.
