We’re constantly working on our latest project, and we’re always trying to think what potential homebuyers want. So, today, I’d like to get some feedback from you just to see if we’re on track:

  1. Do you want a tub in your master bathroom? Or just a shower? Is one tub in the house enough?
  2. Where do you want your laundry located?
  3. Hardwood or Carpet?
  4. Deck or Patio?
  5. Formal Dining Room? Or just an Eat-In Kitchen?

Okay, that’s enough questions for now. I really need your comments on this one!

How many bathtubs do you need?

I need a bathtub when our little ones visit, as well as for an occasional soak, but I really don’t use our bathtub much any more. But, I definitely enjoy a large walk-in shower with a great shower head.

Best location for the laundry room?

Our bedrooms are all upstairs, and our laundry room is downstairs, off the kitchen. We see lots of laundry rooms in weird places – carports and/or garages. I wouldn’t want that at all. But, I’ve never had a laundry room close to our bedrooms. I think that would be great.

Wood or Carpet?

We love hardwood floors, so there’s no carpet in our house. We never cover a wood floor with carpet, if it can be restored. But, we still tend to install carpet in bedrooms. I’m definitely interested in your opinions on this question.

Deck or Patio?

Whether there’s a deck or patio depends on the house plan, so that’s not really an option to change. Still, I’m interested if you have a preference of one or another and why. I love a beautiful patio, but really love a big deck!

Still Need a Formal Dining Room?

Roger and I always argue about where people want to eat. I think women still want a formal dining room with a big table to use when family and friends gather for meals. I love entertaining in our formal dining room. Eat-in kitchens to me are for daily meals and activities, including homework and games.

What’s your thoughts?
